The Office of the Registrar is responsible for academic records, enrollment verifications, grading, student records, and transcript requests.

FERPA: Federal Protection of Student Records

The Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act, commonly referred to as FERPA, is designed to protect the privacy of student education records. FERPA is a Federal law that is administered by the Family Policy Compliance Office in the U.S. Department of Education. FERPA generally prohibits the improper disclosure of personally identifiable information derived from education records. For specific Federal laws regarding approved disclosures of student information, please visit the Department of Education.

Records Request Process for Current Students

Please email the registrar at preussregistrar@ucsd.edu and include your:

1. Full Legal Name 
2. Date of Birth
3. Current Grade
4. Description of Request
5. Phone Number

Processing time is 3-5 business days (Monday through Friday). You will receive an email when your request has been processed and ready for pick up. Forms will not be generated during holiday closures. Expect a week delay during the week grades are released.
