Amara Tang ’12

Amara Tang is pursuing her master’s degree at San Diego State University with a Graduate Equity Fellowship in the Postsecondary Educational Leadership Program with a specialization in student affairs. Tang also works at San Diego Mesa College supporting the school’s Career Peer Ambassador Program.

She earned her undergraduate degree from UC San Diego, where she was a Chancellor’s Associates Scholar and interned with several campus access and retention programs. Her experiences there inspired Tang to advocate for student equity and success in higher education.

Vanessa Muños Campos ’15

Vanessa Muños Campos is currently in her fourth year at UC San Diego, with a major in communication, and a minor in education studies. She works as a mentor at OASIS, a campus program that focuses on supporting underrepresented students. Currently, Muños Campos is studying abroad in South Korea at Yonsei University. “Thanks to the scholarships I was awarded through UC San Diego and Preuss, I am able to study here and experience the South Korean culture. I am extremely grateful for this opportunity.”
