Running Club Laces Up Shoes to Support Scholarships

The Preuss Running Club is joining the UC San Diego community to support student scholarships through the Triton 5K June 7. Members of the club and faculty advisor, Dave Weber, will lace up their running shoes to run the 3.1 mile scenic course through campus. Any Preuss alumni who are current UC San Diego students are encouraged to join the Preuss team.

While supporting student scholarships, you’ll pass the King Triton statue, the iconic Geisel Library and several renowned public artworks from the Stuart Collection, including Tim Hawkinson’s 23-foot-high stone “Bear,” and Do Ho Suh’s “Fallen Star” house perched precariously atop Jacobs Hall. The 5K event also features a healthy living festival that includes hands-on activities for all ages, live music by Todo Mundo and much more. The festival is free and open to the public.
