The Preuss School was honored at an awards ceremony in Sacramento

The California Student Aid Commission recently honored The Preuss School as a winner of their statewide “Race to Submit” competition. The school was recognized as one of the top five schools of its size for highest completion rates of the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) and California Dream Act Application (CADAA) in 2018.

Principal Scott Barton and 12th grade university prep teacher Kenia Milloy attended the awards ceremony in Sacramento in October. They received a banner to commemorate their accomplishments.

“Teachers, counselors and administrators are the unsung heroes in the effort to encourage students to pursue dreams of higher education,” said Lupita Cortez Alcalá, executive director of the California Student Aid Commission. “Through the Race to Submit campaigns, the Commission is able to honor some of the people who provide students information about and access to financial aid programs that help bring those student dreams of college within reach.”
