Preuss Alumna Named Fulbright Scholar

Preuss Alumna Named Fulbright Scholar Preuss alumna Thuy Hua has been awarded a prestigious grant from the Fulbright U.S. Student Program to conduct research abroad in the 2013-2014 academic year. The award covers roundtrip airfare to the host country, travel and health insurance and a monthly stipend for living expenses for each recipient’s 10-month project.

Hua, who graduated from Preuss in 2009, recently graduated from Occidental College where she majored in biology with an emphasis on molecular and cellular biology and minored in Theater. As a Fulbright Scholar she will conduct research at the Institute of Physiology at the Academy of Sciences of the Czech Republic starting in September. After her stint abroad, she plans to attend graduate school to pursue neurology and neurobiology.
