Preuss Celebrates First Day of School

Students were welcomed back to school in August 2018

The Preuss School UC San Diego welcomed back its 845 students this fall with a special First Day of School Celebration.

Preuss teachers, alumni, supporters and friends joined Preuss Principal Scott Barton and UC San Diego Executive Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs Elizabeth H. Simmons to greet students as they arrived on campus for the first day of the new school year.

“Preuss students put in the time and hard work to conquer their rigorous classes,” said Barton. “We are grateful to have a robust group of community leaders, volunteers and donors who support our remarkable students and the school’s mission to ensure they become the first in their families to attend college.”
