Bio
"My name is Leslie Villalobos, and I am thrilled to be part of the Preuss team for my first-year teaching 7th grade Exercise and Health Sciences. Growing up, I was always passionate about sports and health, which led me to obtain my B.A. in Kinesiology from CSU Chico. I then went on to receive my Teaching Credential and M.A. in Teaching from San Jose State University in 2021.
I grew up in the Bay Area, and before joining the Preuss team, I had the privilege of teaching primary students at a K-5 school in the San Jose area. Through that experience I gained greater insight into how adolescents develop and the greater importance of physical activity and overall wellness. Fostering a love for healthy living and physical activity is my main philosophy in the classroom. I aim to support my students and allow them to feel success and thrive in a physical environment in order for them to develop the same passion for fitness and health.
Outside of Preuss, you can find me spending most of my free time being active or doing outdoor activities. Whenever I am not teaching health concepts or sports to my students, you can find me at the beach, doing some long-distance running, or watching some of my favorite sports teams like the 49ers, SF Giants, and Warriors.
