Bio

My name is Allyson Cobbs and I am the school counselor for all 6-12th grade students with the last name Garcia-H through S. Nguyen. I started at Preuss in 2021, and it has been a wonderful fit since. I am inspired by the mission, the students, and the staff I am able to connect with every day. I have been working in guidance and school counseling since 2011. I received my bachelors at UC Davis in International Relations with a focus in peoples and nationalities, and my masters in School Counseling from the University of LaVerne.

What inspired me to be a school counselor, were my phenomenal school counselors in high school, my first job out of undergrad as a guidance technician, my parents who are both educators and the everlasting impact educators/counselors make on their students. I always wanted to make a positive impact on those I work with and being a school counselor drives my passion for helping others daily. 

My favorite thing to do is spend quality time with my husband, sons, friends and family. I love coffee, eating and baking sweets.
