Bio

My name is Adriana Economou, and I am honored to formally introduce myself as your full-time school nurse on campus. I have been a Registered Nurse in a hospital setting at UCSD for 15 years. My specialty is in emergency medicine and interventional radiology, with extensive experience in pediatric care. I am passionate about my new chapter in my nursing career, one that emphasizes preventative health, wellness, and health education within a school setting. I am excited about the opportunity to contribute to the health and well-being of The Pruess School community. A native San Diegan, I pursued my nursing education at San Diego State University—Go Aztecs! Outside of my professional life, I love spending time with my family and my crazy mini Goldendoodle, Crazy Daisy. Additionally, I have a keen interest in movies, podcasts, and live music.
