Hi everyone, I cordially welcome all the parents to the Preuss family. My name is Denise Anguiano, I'm the PTA president for the 2007-2008 school year. This year, as in other ones, there are many things to do. We have many goals to reach, and to do so, we need the help of everyone. First of all, I congratulate you for having your child at Preuss, one of the best schools in California and in the nation. Now, join your student’s team, support their goal, and help lead them to college.
How can you help them? It’s as simple as volunteering. Come to Preuss, help in the office, help in the library, help us keep a clean school, join us in field trips, join us in fundraisers that help support educational field trips, science competitions and technology that will benefit your child.
If you don't have time to come yet, start by purchasing a PTA membership. It's $10 and you only have to do it once a year. You can look at it like this, it's one dollar per month, .25 cents a week, 3 and half pennies a day. We can all do it, can't we?!!! Put aside $10 and send them to the PTA, in exchange your child will benefit, you will be recognized as a PTA member, we’ll send you a member card, and the most important fact, you will have the right to vote in taking important decisions that affect your child/ren's education.
Help your child and join their support team. If everybody adds their little grain of sand, at the end of the school year, we'll know that we have accomplished our goals, when we see a big smile on our children's faces.

Hola a todos, les doy la más cordial bienvenida a todos los padres de la familia Preuss. Mi nombre es Denise Anguiano, soy la presidenta del PTA para el año escolar 2007-2008. Este año, al igual que todos los demás, hay mucho que hacer y para lograr las metas propuestas necesitamos de todos. Primero que nada, te felicito de tener a tu hijo/a en Preuss, una de las mejores escuelas en California y a nivel nacional. Ahora, únete al equipo de tu hijo/a, únete a su meta, guíalo a las puertas de la Universidad.
¿Como puedes hacerlo? Siendo voluntario, así de sencillo. Ven
a Preuss, ayuda en la oficina, ayuda en la biblioteca, ayúdanos a mantener
una escuela limpia, acompáñanos en paseos, únete a los
programas para recabar fondos para mandar a los estudiantes a paseos educativos,
a competir en ciencias, a adquirir tecnología para el beneficio de los
estudiantes, para el beneficio de tu hijo/a.
Si no tienes tiempo de venir, te invito a comenzar comprando una membresía
del PTA (comité de padres) Al dar una pequeña cooperación
de $10, puedes ayudar a realizar estas metas. Es una vez al año. Si lo
miramos de esta forma, seria un dólar al mes, 25 centavos por semana,
3 centavos y medio por día. Verdad que todos podemos?!!! Junta tus $10.00
y mándalos al PTA, a cambio tu hijo/a recibirá muchos beneficios,
tu serás reconocido/a y se te dará una tarjeta de miembro del
PTA, la cual te da derecho a votar y a tomar decisiones importantes en Preuss.
Ayuda a tu hijo/a, únete a su equipo. Si todos aportamos con un granito
de arena, al final del año escolar sabremos que hemos avanzado, cuando
veamos una sonrisa reflejada en la cara de nuestro/s hijo/a/s.
