After a year of geometry, the student's focus returns to algebra. Algebra II extends the knowledge of the topics covered in honors algebra. Repeated topics include graphical analysis, systems of equations, power functions and statistics and probability.

New topics include functional analysis, exponents and logarithms, linear programming, conic sections, and combinations and permutations.

Exciting problems in topics ranging from demography, orbital mechanics, finance, business and games of chance are offered as challenges to the students.
